Ensure in-house marketing team members can confidently identify what good performance looks like.

Client: ASX-listed real asset manager
Services: Paid media training program (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok)
Format: Two-day, in-person training for a five-person marketing team

The challenge

Dexus's marketing function spans three distinct business units: Funds, Leasing, and Retail, each with different investors, different channels, and different agencies managing the day-to-day. Paid media was centrally agency-managed for Google Ads and LinkedIn, with Retail's ~20 shopping centres running their own local agency relationships for Meta and TikTok.

The team was capable and engaged, but didn't have a consistent, shared baseline for evaluating what the agencies were doing on their behalf. Reports looked fine on the surface. The question was whether the team could tell when they weren't.

What was covered

  • A two-day program split by channel priority:

    • Day one covered Google Ads and LinkedIn, the highest-spend, most centrally managed channels — working directly inside live accounts to audit real campaign structures, bid strategies, and tracking setups.

    • Day two covered Meta and TikTok, with a closing session tying performance across all four platforms back to Adobe Analytics as the shared measurement layer.

Throughout, the format was deliberately hands-on: triage exercises, sorting genuine underperformance from tracking issues, drafting the follow-up questions to put back to the agency, and cold audits on campaigns.

What we did

Rather than build a generic paid media course, we got into Dexus's actual accounts first, auditing live campaigns across all four platforms, and mapping how conversions actually flowed through their stack, from ad platform through to Adobe Analytics, Dynamics 365 and their internal leasing system.

The training was then built entirely around what we found. Real campaigns. Real reports. Real red flags, including cases where the numbers in an agency-provided report didn't hold up against what the account itself showed.

The outcome

All five team members, spanning Funds, Leasing and Retail, came out with a shared, working ability to read a campaign report critically: to ask sharper questions in agency meetings, spot when a benchmark is genuinely a concern versus within normal range, and separate a platform problem from a configuration choice.
