Meet your teacher.
Hi, I’m Katie Davidson. A paid media specialist with ten years’ experience helping businesses grow through paid ads.
I’ve worked both in-house and in agencies, across a wide range of business types and sizes. That includes service businesses, eCommerce brands, and ASX-listed companies. I’ve seen what works when the fundamentals are done properly, and I’ve also seen how quickly ad spend gets wasted when they’re not.
In my freelance work with small business owners, I kept seeing the same problem. Budgets are tight, the pressure to grow is real, and paid ads can feel like a black box. People either try to DIY without a clear framework, or outsource and hope for the best, without really knowing what to look for or what questions to ask.
This course gives you the fundamentals so you can either run your own Google Ads and Meta ads with confidence, or hire someone later without feeling in the dark. I’ll show you how Meta and Google Ads work together as a full-funnel system, and how to track performance properly so you can make decisions based on what’s real.
If you want a clear, practical approach to paid ads, this is for you.

This is one of the only self-paced courses that covers Meta Ads, Google Ads, and tracking (GA4/GTM) together as one connected system, rather than teaching each platform in isolation. Most courses focus on a single platform and skip the foundational metric literacy you need to actually judge whether your ads are working. This one gives you the full-funnel view — how the platforms work together, and the numbers to read across all of them — built from ten years of in-house and agency experience, including ASX-listed accounts.

Small business owners who run their own ads or want to, and anyone who wants to hire an ads freelancer or agency without feeling in the dark. If you've never touched Meta or Google Ads before, or you've been running them for a while but can't quite tell if they're actually working, this is built for you.
-
No. The course starts from the fundamentals: how paid ads actually work, what platform and objective to choose, before moving into campaign builds and optimisation. If you're already running ads, you can move faster through the early modules and get straight to the parts on tracking and analysis.
-
It's a self-paced online course. You work through the four modules in your own time, alongside the templates and resources (Launch Checklist, Metrics Glossary, Creative Brief templates, UTM Builder, and more).

There is approx. 6 hours of content. However, it's self-paced so go as slow or fast as you like.

Yes — when Meta or Google make changes that are significant enough to affect what's taught in the course, it gets updated to reflect that. It's not a guarantee of constant real-time updates (the platforms change too often for that to be realistic for anyone), but the core fundamentals — how to structure campaigns, read your numbers, and diagnose performance — hold up regardless of smaller platform tweaks.
